The NBPA Top 100 Camp Day 1 was oozing with talent. The competition was high level, with each player displaying their skills and abilities at an elite level. However, my approach to evaluating their performance may have been unconventional.
Walking into the camp, I already knew that every young man present had the ability to play the game exceptionally well. However, I was particularly intrigued to see which players would immediately catch my attention and leave a lasting impression.
As the action unfolded on the court, it became evident that the level of play was nothing short of super competitive. Dunks, three-pointers, and impressive defensive filled the air, leaving college coaches no other choice but to be locked in!
While all the players showcased their skills, a few individuals truly stood out from the rest. Their athleticism, basketball IQ, and shooting.
2025 6’2” point guard Darius Acuff of Cass Technical performance on the court was impressive on all who witnessed it. With his speed, court vision, and control, he flawlessly orchestrated the team’s every move, displaying the qualities of a true floor general.
His outstanding display not only garnered attention from all the major programs nationwide, but also significantly enhanced his recruiting prospects. Today’s performance in sessions 1 and 2 undoubtedly propelled his recruiting journey to new heights.

What truly stood out was Acuff’s ability to navigate the court with the finesse of a seasoned veteran, effortlessly penetrating the defense and creating opportunities for his teammates. This young man’s undeniable talent places him among the elite, undoubtedly making him one of the top three guards in the highly coveted class of 2025.
2024 6’6” Isaiah Evans of North Mecklenburg is one of the most versatile players at the camp. He really had it going early and often. Knocking down shots from long distance, and getting out in transition navigating his way to the bucket. The Duke Blue Devils commit set the table early.

2025 6’6” Efeosa Oliogu of United Scholastic Academy (CAN) he’s a high energy guy that operates as a good two-way player. Oliogu thrives in the open court. I was impressed with his ability to finish affectively through contact. He looked very comfortable in transition attacking defenders off dribble.
I have heard, Oliogu may be reclassify up to the 2024. But at this point that is just speculation.

2025 6’9” Bryson Tiller of Overtime Elite was all business in the early morning session. Displaying comfortable range out to 18 feet. Tiller college ready frame, he has size an a ton of skills to compliment. I was impressed with him, playing with his back to the basket. He just showed us that he has more in his package skill set.

Other outstanding performance were on display from: Cooper Flagg, Derik Queen, Meleek Thomas
Cameron Boozer, Carter Bryant just to name a few.
